An opportunity is only worth as much as you take from it.

In April 2022, on the day after getting married to my wife, Christina, we left our apartment in Sydney, and embarked on a journey across Australia in a campervan we called Uloma - which translates to “good home”.

For 11-months, Uloma was our good home. We travelled up the East coast to the Daintree rainforest, across to Uluru, down through the Simpson desert, and up the Great Ocean Road until we arrived in Perth.

It has been 2 years since we got here, and although we left Sydney in April 2022, the story actually begins much earlier.

So let’s rewind.

Where The Journey Began

It began in 2019, when I had the vision of embarking on this journey. The only logical way for me to make it possible was to work completely online.

And so I started the transition to becoming an online coach.

The shift was gradual, and slowly but surely, the vision became a reality. Before I knew it, after 2 years of progress, I was working full-time as an online coach.

I now had the freedom to take this opportunity, and make the journey possible.

Throughout the entire journey, I was coaching clients from each part of Australia I visited.

It was an opportunity I had dreamed of for years… but an opportunity is only worth what you take from it.

A New Adventure Begins

Since settling in Perth, I have continued working full-time as an online coach, each day spent working from my apartment.

Don’t get me wrong, I love having control over my schedule. I also have the flexibility to take small trips here and there.

But in many ways, it has begun to feel wasteful staying where I am.

I worked so hard and took many risks to gain this freedom. I left a stable job, and worked stupid long hours to make it possible.

So after a recent trip to Bali for the Bali Ultra, Christina and I made a decision.

That trip sparked an excitement we had not felt since setting off in Uloma after we made our vows.

And so our next adventure begins… except it has already begun.

To continue the nomadic way of living we had experienced in our good home, except this time, we will be jumping on a plane and heading across the seas to a new continent.

Seize The Opportunity Before It Is Gone

It is a privilege to be in the position we are in, especially as Christina gears up to offer online counselling and embodiment alongside me (more to come on this).

But an opportunity is only worthwhile if you take advantage of it.

And so we prepare ourselves to sail into the unknown, reminding ourselves everyday of all we have to gain. Building up the courage to take a leap of faith, because faith without action is dead.

And with that, we are determined to maintain a sense of hope and trust.

Trust in each other.

Trust in the work we’ve done to get here.

We have committed to the challenges that lie ahead with a sense of optimism and light heartedness.

We have made the choice to seize the opportunity in front of us.

And in December 2024, the Lucchini’s will be boarding the first flight on our expedition abroad. First stop, Malaysia!

We hope to bring you on this journey with us, virtually, and encourage you to seize whatever opportunities present themselves to you with full force!

Yours in running and life,

Daniel Lucchini
